Summary: Mathias is a down-and-out American who inherits an apartment in Paris from his estranged and recently deceased father. With nothing stopping him from selling the apartment and becoming wealthy, he travels to Paris to claim his new property. However, when he arrives he finds Mathilde Girard, an old woman, living in the apartment and who is entitled to it through a loophole in French real estate law. Caught between the stubborn Mathilde and her protective daughter Chloé, Mathias finds his inheritance won't come as easily as he expected."
